As we’ve mentioned before, and as we will continue to do, this is the 100th year of Canada’s navy. At the Admiral, we’re very proud of our Armed Forces (having at least one employee who is a reservist, not to mention our name!), and wish to share in the celebration of our navy. To that end, check out our specials page for details, but any member of Canada’s or another nations’ armed forces will receive 35% off our regular room and suite prices, and for the week of June 9 – 14 can stay with us for only $95.00 per night for a regular room and $135.00 per night for a one bedroom suite. Remember, this price includes parking, wireless internet access (signal is normally good – strong), extensive continental breakfast, kids itenerary, pet friendly, and bicycles. When you reserve on line, be sure to let us know you are with the armed forces, which country and your branch of service.
While you’re in town, make sure you attend a performance of “Play it Again, Sam” with the St. Luke’s Players. One of Woody Allen’s best pieces, the St. Luke’s ensemble does it proud, with sterling performances by our own general manager, Deb Wright in two brilliant cameos, Mitch Barnes almost outperforming Woody himself in the title role, and the rest of the cast just as good. It’s funny, it’s heartwarming and it’s a well mounted production, well worth the $12.00 admission. Cheap at twice the price.
Summer is here – one of our employees walked along the waterfront and donated these photos for your viewing pleasure. The unicyclist is just a taste of the free, street entertainment this year, and the inner harbour only gets more beautiful as the summer wears on. Be sure to stay with us, adjacent to the inner harbour, and close to all the action.
